The PZ Series vibration sensor consists of a high-performance shear mode piezoelectric ceramic assembly available in either a top exit or side exit hermetically sealed housing. The PZ Series with an acceleration measurement range of over 50g is suitable for vibration monitoring applications on a wide range of critical rotating machinery and typically mounted on the bearing housing to detect bearing wear and absolute vibration.
The VEL/G Series self-generating transducer produces a signal proportional to the velocity component of a mechanical vibration by means of relative movement between a coil and a magnet. The rugged construction and fully sealed body enables this transducer to be used in most Industrial environments. The main body of the transducer is fitted with a polished stainless steel case and contains a moving coil and magnet assembly. The coil is suspended within the field of the magnet by means of diaphragms which permit virtually frictionless movement in one axis only. This measuring axis is coincident with the axis of the cylindrical body.
The SEN X Series eddy current transducer systems consist of a calibrated probe, extension cable and driver. Utilising the eddy current principle, this combination forms a tuned circuit with the target material and variations in probe face to target distance are detected in this circuit by the driver, providing a linearised voltage output proportional to target gap. This measurement system provides highly accurate (resolution typically less than one micro-meter) vibration and relative positional measurements, for harsh environments up to 180 °C. The driver unit offers a front panel green LED for indicating the system length. The cable system incorporates snap lock connectors which require no torquing and provide a shake proof solution important for heavy industrial applications. The double screened cable offers robustness in combination with high immunity to interference and optional stainless steel convoluted armour is available for applications or environments where cable protection is paramount.
The G3 Machinery Monitoring System (MMS) is a high-performance signal conditioning unit, providing a universal platform for the interfacing of various sensor types in compliance with the API 670 standard. Each of the four channels can be independently programmed to provide continuous monitoring and protection functionalities across a broad range of measurements (including vibration, position, expansion, speed, etc). Utilising the latest DSP technology, once a channel is set up and running, the resulting alarm relay and analogue output are independent from the remaining monitor functionalities, resulting in a scalable high integrity configuration.
